Mikhail Tal was a symbol of the 60-ties of the 20th century. His popularity could be the envy of any film star. He attained the title of International Chess Grandmaster in 1957, and in 1960 he attained the title of Merited Master of Sports and became the World Chess Champion, when he was only 23 years old! His whole life was a tale of unprecedented, rapid aspiration towards the peaks.

Adventurism, uncompromising solutions in decision-making, inexhaustible optimism and energy that accompanied Mikhail Tal in his way of life has served as a source of inspiration for the creators of TAL RESIDENCE and is reflected also in the architectural solutions. In the building façade decorations, the architect Ingurds Lagzdiņš has used chess themes: geometric forms of bay windows bear resemblance of chess figures of varying height, but the interactions between the light and dark tinted glass – a chessboard. When creating the new image, the architect has respected the historical image of the street by retaining the contours of the old wooden buildings and harmonically placing the TAL RESIDENCE in the ensemble of the adjacent buildings.

The idea of creation of the TAL RESIDENCE is a tribute to the eminent and outstanding chess grandmaster, who has left an indelible mark on history. Positioning of the project as a serious and important building creates an added value in the eyes of a prospective buyer, creates a unique image of the project and gives it some kind of prize, which is reflected also in the sale price.

Respect for traditions and history of Riga, for the great genius of Mikhail Tal, exclusivity and unique location and architectural solutions - all that constitutes the uniqueness of the project TAL RESIDENCE.
