On August 13, the real estate company SIA Capitolia Group received the building permit for demolition of the old buildings located in the area of the new public and dwelling complex “Sundays”. It is planned that the demolition works will be completed by the first days of November when construction of the dwelling house will be started.

 

 

 

„Sundays” will be located 160 m from the sea. The total project area will be almost 15 ha, from which only 4 ha will be used for development. An existing pine-tree park will cover the remaining 11 ha so that it would be possible for the inhabitants to use this park for walking, sports or recreation. Within three years it is planned to erect in total seven residential houses (550 apartments in total), a SPA, fitness and beauty care centre, as well as a high-standard hotel, and the wide choice of services provided by this hotel will be available to all inhabitants of this project. Also restaurants, cafes, shops, drug stores and other personal service establishments will be located within the project territory. A two-level underground car parking area stretching under the whole project area will be provided for the project inhabitants. The parking area will have underground interconnections allowing the inhabitants to reach the SPA centre or a shop from their houses or the hotel. Also the interests of children are taken into account – there will be playgrounds and a kindergarten here.

 

 

The total investments in this project will make more than 100 million EUR.

 

 

For the present, it is the first large-scale complex in Jūrmala, which preserves the nature and, simultaneously, is offering improved living standards not only to inhabitants of “Sundays” but also to other inhabitants and guests of Jūrmala.
